The basis of the economy percolates through all levels of human activity to become the basis of the character of the people in the economy, which then becomes the character of the societies and policies that the people create. In the same way as the Roman Empire built itself on slave labor - and made the basis of Roman character cruelty, brutality, conquest, predation, short-sightedness, laziness and oppression - so the oil economy fosters in people a character that mimics in its mentality the character of oil industry itself. This character is toxic, extractive, destructive, short-sighted, polluting, and ensnaring.

Many small players in the solar heat panel business and other forms of renewable energy say lack of capital is inhibiting their growth. Let's face it, there is plenty of sun and plenty of demand in the solar field but the biggest problem is finding the capital. So why all the difficulty and what are solutions for growth?

These alternative energy sources are the exact opposite of the traditional power source except for the fact that it also produces energy. The difference is that it produces it without emitting or releasing dangerous and harmful byproducts like carbon dioxide and other harmful stuff on the environment. Out of all the alternative energy sources that are currently in use today, one of the most favorable and most utilized is solar power. It is energy harnessed from the sun through the use of photovoltaic cells or solar panels. Now these solar panels are now improved and upgraded to make a much more efficient batch of solar power devices to meet the different needs of people.

When solar panels were first put on the market, as a way to produce heat and electricity, they were virtually an unknown product. It had long been known that the sun's rays would produce heat and could be used to dry things, to heat water inside a metal tank or warm up a greenhouse. However, the idea of developing something that could actually bring electricity into the home was not readily accepted.

No new coal-fired power plants broke ground in the USA in 2010. That fact is definitely newsworthy.

Renewable energy is energy that is obtained from natural sources--such as the sun and wind--and can be replenished or renewed naturally. Since renewable energy can usually be obtained without doing significant harm to the environment, people have been developing many ways to utilize it efficiently.
